Regular Season Round 17: Gimle BBK - Ulriken Elite 89-102 OT

Sixth-ranked Gimle (4-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Ulriken (12-4) in Bergen on Wednesday. The visitors managed to secure only thirteen-point victory 102-89. However their fans expected easier game. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Ulriken's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-19 tieing the game at the end of regular time. Then they won it eventually overtime period 18-5. Ulriken dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Gimle's 46 and made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Magne Fivelstad (196-89) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Taylor Mullenax (201-86, college: St.Edward's) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds. Five Ulriken players scored in double figures. American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian-Austrian power forward Ivan Djerman (202-83, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Ulriken moved-up to second place. Gimle lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Ulriken are looking forward to face league's leader Asker at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gimle will play against Tromso (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
