Regular Season Round 18: Basket Esch - Amicale 86-70

An interesting game for Basket Esch (13-6) which hosted in Esch one of their biggest challengers Amicale (11-8). Third ranked Basket Esch had an easy win 86-70. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Esch. Amicale was better in fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Basket Esch outrebounded Amicale 36-21 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward John Reimold (198-81, college: Bowling Green) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Martin Rajniak (204-78, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Louis Birdsong (198-88, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Raul Birenbaum (182-89) scored 18 points. Five Amicale players scored in double figures. Amicale's coach Kresimir Basic rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Basket Esch maintains third position with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader T71. Amicale at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
