Regular Season Round 16: Snaefell - Tindastoll 99-85

Express L. top team - Snaefell (13-3) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Tindastoll (7-9) in Stykkisholmur 99-85. Snaefell had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Sean Burton (175-86, college: Ithaca) who scored that evening 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jon Olafur Jonsson (199-81) supported him with 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Snaefell players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian center Dragoljub Kitanovic (203-85) did not help to save the game for Tindastoll. American forward Hayward Fain (196, college: St.Augustine, agency: Strategic Sports) added 24 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-3 record. Loser Tindastoll dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Snaefell will meet league's second-placed Grindavik on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tindastoll will play against Stjarnan (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
