The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (26-7) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked UU-Korihait (21-11) 64-56. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Tampereen Pyrinto. The game without a history. UU-Korihait led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American players dominated the game. Forward James Reaves (203-82, college: Niagara) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 21 rebounds and forward Antwine Williams (192-75, college: N.Colorado, agency: Prossin Sports Management) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tampereen Pyrinto. UU-Korihait have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kataja. Defending champion Tampereen Pyrinto still keeps top position with seven games lost. UU-Korihait is looking forward to face Joensuun Kataja (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tampereen Pyrinto will play against Namika Lahti and is hoping to win this game.
