Regular Season Round 20: Evreux - Clermont 78-72

Date: February 4, 2011
Very expected game when 17th ranked Stade Clermont (5-15) was defeated on the road by third ranked ALM Evreux (14-6) 78-72. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Stade Clermont was ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 31-15 charge of ALM Evreux, which allowed them to win the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Stade Clermont helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Calvin Watson (196-85, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Naturalized Portuguese guard Philippe Da Silva (192-79) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Naturalized Mali swingman Souarata Cisse (197-86) replied with 21 points and American swingman Dreke Bouldin (202-80, college: Fresno St.) added 16 points in the effort for Stade Clermont. ALM Evreux maintains third position with 14-6 record behind leader Nanterre. Stade Clermont lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 15 games lost. ALM Evreux's next round opponent will be league's second-placed SPO Rouen on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stade Clermont will play against JL Bourg (#11).
