Regular Season Round 16: Polpharma - Anwil 74-70

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Anwil (7-9) lost to fourth ranked Polpharma (10-6) in Starogard 70-74. American forward Brian Gilmore (203-85, college: American) fired 16 points for the winners. The former international forward Tomasz Cielebak (203-76, college: Marist, agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 13 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). International forward Lukasz Majewski (199-82) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (203-81, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Four Polpharma and five Anwil players scored in double figures. Polpharma have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-6 record. Anwil at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Polpharma's next round opponent will be Polonia Azbud (#9) in Warszawa where they are favorite. Anwil will play at home against Zastal in Zielona Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
