DBL top team - GasTerra (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Landstede (6-19) in Groningen 90-49. The game without a history. GasTerra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Landstede to just 7 points in fourth quarter. GasTerra made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Landstede only scored seven points from the stripe. GasTerra forced 19 Landstede turnovers and outrebounded them 51-28 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Landstede's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Center Matt Haryasz (210-84, college: Stanford) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Four GasTerra players scored in double figures. GasTerra's coach Marco van den Berg felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Matthew Mullery (203-87, college: Brown, agency: Stanley International) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lawrence Borha (191-84, college: Utah, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 14 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for GasTerra. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-2 record. Landstede lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 19 games lost. GasTerra will meet league's second-placed ZZ Leiden on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Landstede will play against Giants (#7) in Bergen op Zoom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
