Regular Season Round 18: Basket Esch - Soleuvre 82-70

Date: February 5, 2011
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Basket Esch (13-6) beat at home 9th ranked Soleuvre (6-13) 82-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Esch. Soleuvre was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward John Reimold (198-81, college: Bowling Green) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Slovakian power forward Stefan Svitek (203-77) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Basket Esch players scored in double figures. American forward Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Impact Basketball) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and guard Ben Hemmen (185-83) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Soleuvre. Newly promoted Basket Esch maintains third position with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader T71. Loser Soleuvre keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
