The game with biggest result difference took place in Nova Ves. Local Nova Ves (19-8) beat 10th ranked Inter Bratislava (9-18) 86-70 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Nova Ves. Inter Bratislava managed to win second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nova Ves dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Inter Bratislava's 28. They outrebounded Inter Bratislava 46-30 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nova Ves looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Jefferson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Serbian guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and British forward Frank Holmes (206-84, college: UAB) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nova Ves maintains second position with 19-8 record having just two points less than leader Nitra. Inter Bratislava at the other side stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. Nova Ves will meet Vahostav-Zilina (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Inter Bratislava will play against Levice and hope to secure a win.
