Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Odra Brzeg (3-17) lost to tenth ranked Inea AZS (5-15) in Poznan 60-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Inea AZS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by Odra Brzeg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Brittany Gilliam (180-87, college: SMU) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Weronika Idczak (175-89) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Inea AZS players scored in double figures. American center Moniquee Alexander (198-87, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Xenia Stewart (183-87, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Merit Sports) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Odra Brzeg. Inea AZS maintains tenth place with 5-15 record. Odra Brzeg lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Inea AZS are looking forward to face league's leader Wisla Can-Pak in Krakow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Odra Brzeg will play at home against AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#3) in Gorzow Wlkp. and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
