Very expected game in Gdynia where 15th ranked Astoria (5-15) was crushed by sixth ranked Asecco Prokom 2 (13-6) 90-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Asecco Prokom 2. Astoria was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Asecco Prokom 2 forced 22 Astoria turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jedrzej Jankowiak (183-83, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Marcin Malczyk (193-82) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Newly promoted Astoria keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Asecco Prokom 2 will face Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Astoria will play against the league's second-placed Sokol Lancut.
