Leader KK Split delivered the eleventh victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Svjetlost (6-8) 82-63. The game was mostly controlled by KK Split. Svjetlost managed to win fourth quarter 27-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. KK Split outrebounded Svjetlost 27-15 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Josip Sobin (203-89) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Toni Katic (185-92) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. Guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) responded with 27 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Matej Karlovic (200-89) scored 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Split have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-3 record. Svjetlost lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. KK Split will meet league's second-placed Alkar Sinj on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Svjetlost will play against Kvarner 2010 (#6) in Rijeka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
