Apollon (#7) forced the game against Aris (#4) into an overtime, but lost by five points 60-65 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 18-7 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Aris dominated on the defensive end, holding Apollon to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Forward Anna Spiridopoulou (182-88) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Niki Hatzakou (175-82) chipped in 19 points during the contest. American forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Nkem Nkele (185-86, college: Cal-Riverside) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds.
