Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Dublin: Dart Killester (#1) and UCD Marian (#3). Dart Killester (12-2) won against visiting UCD Marian (7-9) 87-74. Dart Killester dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to UCD Marian's 26. UCD Marian was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Patrick Kelly (191-80) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward James Crowder (201-86, college: Pfeiffer, agency: Agency No 10) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Daniel James (189-90) scored 19 points and 4 steals. UCD Marian's coach Fran Ryan tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-2 record, which they share with UL Eagles. UCD Marian at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Dart Killester will play against Ulster Elks (#5) at home in the next round. UCD Marian will play against Belfast Star and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
