Regular Season Round 31: Akita NH - Takamatsu FA 61-67

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Takamatsu FA (9-21) won against on the road 6th ranked Akita Happinets (10-20) 67-61 on Sunday. Akita Happinets were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 24-8 charge of Takamatsu FA, which allowed them to win the game. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Shuichi Takada (194-83) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Impact Basketball) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian forward Ayodokun Akingbade (207-84, college: George Washington) added 2 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Akita Happinets. Akita Happinets' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Takamatsu FA have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 9-21 record, which they share with Miyazaki. Loser Akita Happinets keep the sixth position with 20 games lost. Takamatsu FA will face league's second-placed Sendai 89ers at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
