Regular Season Round 18: Ulriken Elite - Asker Aliens 77-83

An interesting game for Asker (14-3) which played road game in Bergen against 3rd ranked Ulriken (12-5). First ranked Asker managed to get a 6-point victory 83-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ulriken. Ulriken was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 23-14 charge of Asker, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 Ulriken turnovers. It was a good game for the former international forward Ronny Karlsen (202-78, college: Independence CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Guard Ali Ouakkaha (185-90) replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and American forward Taylor Mullenax (201-86, college: St.Edward's) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ulriken. Five Ulriken players scored in double figures. Asker have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-3 record. Ulriken at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Asker are looking forward to face Baerum (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round. Ulriken will play on the road against Kristiansand and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
