Regular Season Round 19: Fileni BPA Jesi - Rimini 86-61

There was an upset when 4th placed Immobiliare SR (12-7) was smashed by eleventh ranked Fileni BPA (8-11) in Jesi 86-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fileni BPA. Immobiliare SR was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Fileni BPA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Quite impressive performance for the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Andrea Pecile (187-80, agency: World Sport Agency) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Fileni BPA players scored in double figures. Fileni BPA's coach Stefano Cioppi felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Terrence Roderick (195-88, college: UAB, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Quadre Lollis (200-73, college: Montana St.) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Immobiliare SR. Fileni BPA moved-up to tenth place, which they share with N.Ferrara. Loser Immobiliare SR keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Fileni BPA will face higher ranked Prima Veroli (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Immobiliare SR will play against Sigma Barcellona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
