There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Grupo Iruna Navarra (10-11) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Girona FC (10-11) 82-76. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Girona FC made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Ignacio Ordin (184-78) who scored 24 points. American forward Levi Rost (201-83, college: W.Michigan) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Girona FC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Swedish power forward Jason Blair (201-79, college: San Diego) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Roma Bas (192-83) added 13 points respectively. Girona FC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with La Palma and Navarra. Grupo Iruna Navarra lost third consecutive game. Girona FC's next round opponent will be Fundacion Adepal (#14) in Alcazar which should be theoretically an easy game.
