Regular Season Round 14: Trogir - Darda 77-80

A very interesting game took place in Trogir. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Trogir (4-10) to seventh ranked Vrijednosnice OS (7-7) 80-77 on Sunday evening. It looked good early as Trogir took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vrijednosnice OS had a 18-14 second period charge getting the lead and Trogir was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-80. Center Ivan Krolo (217-83) notched 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Zvonimir Ridl (204-73) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds by forward Luka Zitko (201-81) did not help to save the game for Trogir. Forward Toni Vitali (201-91) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Vrijednosnice OS have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Trogir lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Vrijednosnice OS's next round opponent will be Dubrovnik (#5) at home. Trogir will play against Dubrava (#9) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
