Rather predictable result in Como where seventh ranked Pool Comense (7-9) beat 11th ranked Vomero Napoli (4-12) 70-61 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 42-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Pool Comense made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. American swingman Cameo Hicks (178-84, college: Washington) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. New Zealand forward Jiullian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Pool Comense players scored in double figures. Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (193-85, college: Hofstra) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Aleksandra Vujovic (182-80, agency: LBM Management) added 17 points (made all of her seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Pool Comense moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Umana Reyer. Vomero Napoli lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Pool Comense is looking forward to face league's second-placed Liomatic Umbertide at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vomero Napoli will play against Bracco Geas (#4) in Sesto S.Giovanni and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
