The game in Hafnarfjordur supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Keflavik (13-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Haukar (6-10). Keflavik smashed Haukar 74-53. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Haukar was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keflavik forced 19 Haukar turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Haukar's players. American forward Jacquline Adamshick (183-84, college: Villanova) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Palina Gunnlaugsdottir (170-87) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. The former international center Ragna Brynjarsdottir (188-90) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Kathleen Snodgrass (175-82) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keflavik maintains second position with 13-3 record having just three points less than leader Hamar. Haukar lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Keflavik's next round opponent will be league's leader Hamar on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Haukar will play against KR (#3) in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
