Very expected game when 9th ranked Njardvik (6-11) was crushed at home by second ranked KR (13-4) 91-71. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Njardvik was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR forced 25 Njardvik turnovers. The former international swingman Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. American guard Marcus Walker (186-86, college: Colorado St.) contributed with 21 points for the winners. The former international guard Johann Alafsson (195-86) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Pall Kristinsson (201-76, college: USC Upstate) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Njardvik. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KR have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-4 record behind leader Snaefell. Njardvik at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik KFI.
