CBA top team - Xinjiang Flying Tige (19-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (5-16) in Jinjiang 116-88. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 71-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Fujian SBS XunXin 44-30 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all fifteen shots !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) supported him with 26 points and 6 assists. Even 31 points and 7 rebounds by American swingman Andre Emmett (196-82, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Fujian SBS XunXin. Center Hang Li (204-86) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige maintains first position with 19-1 record. Loser Fujian SBS XunXin keeps the sixteenth place with 16 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet Guandong Tigers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fujian SBS XunXin will play against Shandong Bulls (#8) in Jinan and hope to secure a win.
