Regular Season Round 18: Kings - Wildcats 84-98

Date: February 11, 2011
Very expected game when 9th ranked Kings (4-16) lost to second ranked Perth Wildcats (13-9) in Sydney 84-98 on Friday. The game without a history. Perth Wildcats led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perth Wildcats outrebounded Kings 44-31 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Kevin Lisch (188, college: St.Louis, agency: Warren Sports International) notched 18 points to lead the effort and guard Brad Robbins (186-85) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 21 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) by American forward Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) did not help to save the game for Kings. His fellow American import forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) added 20 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-9 record having just 0 points less than leader Breakers. Loser Kings stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Perth Wildcats will meet at home Adelaide 36ers (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Kings will play against Cairns Taipans and hope to secure a win.
