No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Shandong Bulls (10-10) beat on the road 13th ranked Qingdao Double Star (8-13) 120-106 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Qingdao Double Star was better in second period 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Qingdao Double Star was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Jie Sun (190-86) contributed with 30 points for the winners. American forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Qingdao Double Star. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Qingdao Double Star's coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong Bulls have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Qingdao Double Star lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Shandong Bulls will face Fujian SBS XunXin (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
