Regular Season Round 22: Clinicas Rincon - Leon 83-81

A very interesting game took place in Malaga. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Baloncesto Leon (15-7) to thirteenth ranked Clinicas Rincon (9-13) 83-81 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It looked good early as Baloncesto Leon took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Clinicas Rincon took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican forward Angel Garcia (210-88, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Pablo Almazan (203-89) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Clinicas Rincon's coach Francisco Alonso used entire bench in such tough game. American forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Impact Basketball) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Jorge Garcia (203-77) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Baloncesto Leon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Clinicas Rincon moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Breogan. Baloncesto Leon at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Clinicas Rincon's next round opponent will be CB Tarragona 2017 (#16) on the road. Baloncesto Leon will play against the league's second-placed CB Murcia (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
