Regular Season Round 32: Takamatsu FA - Sendai 89ers 50-71

Very predictable result when second ranked Sendai 89ers (19-11) smashed on the road 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (9-23) 71-50 on Friday. The game without a history. Sendai 89ers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Takamatsu FA to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 49-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 23 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Sendai 89ers' coach Honoo Hamaguchi felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Jefferey Price (203-85, college: Miss.Valley St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sendai 89ers maintains second position with 19-11 record having seven points less than leader Osaka Evessa. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the ninth place with 23 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
