Third defeat of league's leader Okapi Aalstar (13-3) against third ranked Dexia Mons-Hainaut (11-5) 94-91 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. Strangely Okapi Aalstar outrebounded Dexia Mons-Hainaut 48-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. His fellow American import guard Ron Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American-Lithuanian power forward Christopher Young (206-79, college: Michigan, agency: Court Side) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Okapi Aalstar. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dexia Mons-Hainaut maintains third place with 11-5 record having just 0 points less than leader Charleroi. Okapi Aalstar at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Charleroi. Okapi Aalstar will play next round against Antwerp Giants trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dexia Mons-Hainaut will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
