Leader Snaefell delivered the fifteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 7th ranked IR (7-11) 98-84 in Stykkisholmur. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of IR. The game was mostly controlled by Snaefell. IR managed to win fourth quarter 35-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by IR's players. Forward Jon Olafur Jonsson (199-81) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sveinn Daviasson (192-86) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Snaefell players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian-Canadian forward Nemanja Sovic (198-77, college: Pfeiffer) with 29 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Kelly Biedler (196-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Snaefell have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-3 record. IR at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Njardvik and Tindastoll. Snaefell will meet at home Haukar (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. IR will play against Stjarnan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
