Regular Season Round 18: Hamar - Tindastoll 83-81

A very interesting game took place in Hamar. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Tindastoll (7-11) to tenth ranked Hamar (6-11) 83-81 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tindastoll won fourth quarter 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamar made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Tindastoll turnovers. American swingman Devin Sweetney (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA, agency: Strategic Sports) notched 38 points (!!!) to lead the effort and the former international center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218-91) supported him with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Even 22 points by guard Friarik Hreinsson (184-81) did not help to save the game for Tindastoll. Swingman Helgi Viggosson (189-83) added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Hamar maintains tenth position with 6-11 record. Tindastoll lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Hamar's next round opponent will be higher ranked Grindavik (#4) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
