Regular Season Round 14: Ullern - Oslo Tigers 79-55

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oslo: Ullern (#4) and Oslo (#7). Ullern (7-7) smashed visiting Oslo (0-12) by 24 points 79-55. The game was mostly controlled by Ullern. Oslo managed to win third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Oslo's 38 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Oslo 43-17 including a 20-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ullern looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Oda Austheim (-83) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Karoline Fadnes (170-92) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Ullern players scored in double figures. Guard Aysun Erdogan (-87) responded with 12 points and 6 assists and guard Sevde Yapici (-88) scored 10 points. Oslo's coach Bilal Rodgers gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ullern maintains fourth position with 7-7 record. Newly promoted Oslo still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Ullern are looking forward to face NTNUI (#6) in Trondheim in the next round. Oslo will play at home against NTNUI in Trondheim and hopes to get finally their first victory.
