Second-ranked KTP-Basket (24-10) fell to fourth ranked UU-Korihait (22-13) in overtime by three points 100-103 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KTP-Basket. KTP-Basket cut a 16-point halftime deficit to tie the game at the end of regular time. But they lost overtime period 12-15. UU-Korihait made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by KTP-Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Lawrence Wright (195-84, college: Bradley) contributed with 30 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jerald Fields (201-82, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Lanshire Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for KTP-Basket. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. UU-Korihait maintains fourth place with 22-13 record. KTP-Basket at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. UU-Korihait are looking forward to face Espoo Honka (#5) on the road in the next round. KTP-Basket will play against Porvoon Tarmo and is hoping to win this game.
