Leader Obradoiro CAB delivered the twentiethth victory. This time they crushed 15th ranked Fundacion Adepal (7-16) 81-49 in Santoago de Comp. The game was mostly controlled by Obradoiro CAB. Fundacion Adepal was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Obradoiro CAB had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Obradoiro CAB especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The former international center Oriol Junyent (207-76) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Alberto Corbacho (201-84) contributed with 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Obradoiro CAB players scored in double figures. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Duane Virgil (205-74, college: Murray St.) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and German forward Kiril Wachsmann (203-83, college: Iona, agency: Edge Sports) added 4 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Fundacion Adepal. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obradoiro CAB have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record, which they share with CB Murcia. Fundacion Adepal lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Huesca. Obradoiro CAB will play against La Laguna (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fundacion Adepal will play against Lobe Huesca (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
