There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Lobe Huesca (7-16) beat at home higher ranked Grupo Iruna Navarra (10-13) 85-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Lobe Huesca. Grupo Iruna Navarra was better in third quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lobe Huesca forced 20 Grupo Iruna Navarra turnovers. The best player for the winners was French power forward Guillaume Yango (205-82, college: Pacific) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (201-88) chipped in 18 points. Lobe Huesca's coach Angel Navarro used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Christopher Lee (206, college: S.Carolina St.) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Inaki Sanz (190-84) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Lobe Huesca moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Alcazar. Grupo Iruna Navarra lost their fifth game in a row. Grupo Iruna Navarra at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Lobe Huesca will face Fundacion Adepal (#17) in Alcazar in the next round.
