Third-ranked Perth Wildcats (14-10) gave a tough game to first ranked New Zealand Breakers (18-3) in Auckland. New Zealand Breakers managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-16 run, which allowed them to win the game.
