Leader Obras delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Argentino (6-11) 87-69 in Buenos Aires. It looked good early as Argentino took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Obras had a 25-11 second period charge getting the lead and Argentino was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-87. International power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American forward William McFarlan (201-76, college: St.Thomas Aquinas, agency: Dream Team Management) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American power forward Joseph Bunn (198-75, college: Phillips (OK)) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Torraye Braggs (203-76, college: Xavier) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Argentino in the defeat. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Obras (13-4) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Argentino lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Obras' next round opponent will be Estudiantes (#15) in Bahia Blanca which should be an easy win for them. Argentino will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gimnasia CR in Comodoro R..
