An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Urumqi. First ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige faced 4th placed Bayi Fubang. Host Xinjiang Flying Tige (22-1) defeated guests from Ningbo (13-11) 96-79. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 40-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) fired 26 points for the winners. International guard QingPeng Zhang (189-81) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. The former international center Ke Mo (210-82) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Ke Li (207-81) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bayi Fubang's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-1 record. Bayi Fubang at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige are looking forward to face Shanghai Sharks (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Fubang will play against Shandong Bulls (#9) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
