Regular Season Round 23: St Chamond - CFBB 79-62

Rather expected game when 18th ranked CFBB (3-20) lost on the road to sixteenth ranked Saint Chamond (9-14) 79-62 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Saint Chamond. CFBB managed to win fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint Chamond forced 23 CFBB turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Regis Aubry (199-82) who led the winners and scored 16 points. Forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) accounted for 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (204-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ulysse Adjagba (184-93) added 15 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saint Chamond moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Lievin. CFBB lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Saint Chamond will meet higher ranked Saint-Etienne (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against Souffelweyersheim (#11) in Souffel. and hope to secure a win.
