Regular Season Round 25: Beijing Ducks - Shanghai S. 111-98

Very expected game when 10th ranked Shanghai Sharks (10-14) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Beijing Ducks (13-10) 111-98. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Ducks. Shanghai Sharks was better in second period 32-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanghai Sharks were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbaas (203-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Wei LiuWei (190-80) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Shanghai Sharks. Shanghai Sharks' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beijing Ducks moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Jiangsu. Shanghai Sharks at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Beijing Ducks will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against the league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and hope to get back on the winning track.
