Important game to mention about took place in Sinj. First ranked KK Split (12-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Alkar Sinj (9-6) 88-85 in the game for the first place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alkar Sinj won third quarter 24-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alkar Sinj was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Ivan Mimica (193-80) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. The former international guard Srdan Subotic (193-80) helped adding 22 points. Four KK Split players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Josip Blajic (192-87) with 20 points and 7 assists and forward Dino Erceg (203-85) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Alkar Sinj's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Split have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-3 record. Newly promoted Alkar Sinj keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Borik. KK Split will play against Kvarner 2010 (#5) in Rijeka in the next round. Alkar Sinj will play on the road against Trogir in Trogir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
