The game had a very big importance for second-ranked JSF Nanterre as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (SPO Rouen) loss. JSF Nanterre smashed 17th ranked Stade Clermont at home 87-62. The game was mostly controlled by JSF Nanterre. Stade Clermont was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JSF Nanterre forced 20 Stade Clermont turnovers. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Rouen. Stade Clermont lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 17 games lost. Stade Clermont will play next round against Aix-Maurienne trying to get back on the winning streak. JSF Nanterre will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked SPO Rouen on the road.
