Regular Season Round 14: TSU Tbilisi - Samedicino 87-71

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tbilisi: TSU (#4) and Samedicino-Academia (#9). TSU (10-4) smashed visiting Samedicino-Academia (4-10) by 16 points 87-71. The game was mostly controlled by TSU. Samedicino-Academia managed to win second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Samedicino-Academia 56-43 including 23 on the offensive glass. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Mikheil Berishvili (205-87) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four TSU players scored in double figures. Center Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Mikheil Chochua (193-87) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Samedicino-Academia's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Samedicino-Academia lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with GTU Tbilisi and GSAU Tbilisi. TSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Dinamo Tbilisi.
