The game in Espoo was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked UU-Korihait (23-13) played at the court of 5th ranked Espoo Honka (21-13). UU-Korihait defeated Espoo Honka 100-86 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Espoo Honka. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 100-86. UU-Korihait dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Espoo Honka's 46 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Lawrence Wright (195-84, college: Bradley) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center John Williamson (198-86, college: Cincinnati) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) added 22 points respectively. Five UU-Korihait and four Espoo Honka players scored in double figures. Espoo Honka's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UU-Korihait maintains fourth position with 23-13 record. Loser Espoo Honka keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. UU-Korihait will meet at home LrNMKY (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Espoo Honka will play against Porvoon Tarmo (#12) and hope to secure a win.
