An interesting game took place in New Eritrea where higher ranked Arkadikos (8-7) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Panerythraikos (5-10) 81-76 on Saturday. Arkadikos was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Panerythraikos made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Arkadikos turnovers. Arkadikos was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Thanasis Straganiotis (180-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Tasos Kallianotis (193-83) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Panerythraikos' coach Dimitris Houhoulis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was swingman Nikos Kokkalis (198-85) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Panerythraikos and four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Panerythraikos moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Pagrati and Koroivos. Arkadikos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Panerythraikos will face higher ranked Ermis Lagkada (#7) in Lagadas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
