Regular Season Round 18: Point Chaud - Blue Cats 73-68 OT

Bottom-ranked Point Chaud managed to get the third consecutive victory. This time they won against fourth-ranked Blue Cats in Sprimont 73-68. The hosts were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They eventually won an overtime period 13-8. Point Chaud forced 19 Blue Cats turnovers and outrebounded them 54-41 including 23 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Alisha Tatham (180-86, college: Massachusetts) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Noemie Mayombo (171-91, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International center Emma Meesseman (188-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Valerie Boydens (175-84) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Blue Cats. The victory was the third consecutive win for Point Chaud. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Willebroek. Blue Cats lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Point Chaud will play against higher ranked BBC Boom (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Blue Cats will play against Tulikivi in Deerlijk and hope to get back on the winning track.
