Regular Season Round 23: Rosa Radom - LKS Lodz 69-62

There was no surprise in Radom where 7th ranked LKS Sphinx (14-9) was defeated by fourth ranked Rosasport (17-6) 69-62 on Saturday. LKS Sphinx was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-10 charge of Rosasport, which allowed them to win the game. Rosasport had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Pawel Wiekiera (206-78) who scored 25 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Rosasport's coach Piotr Ignatowicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Piotr Trepka (182-80) added 8 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Rosasport have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser LKS Sphinx keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Rosasport will meet AZS Szczecin (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LKS Sphinx will play against Astoria in Bydgoszcz and hope to secure a win.
