Very predictable result when first ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (29-4) defeated on the road 7th ranked Akita Happinets (10-24) 96-83 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Akita Happinets were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: ACMT) helped adding 21 points. Four Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Impact Basketball) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Will Graves (198-88, college: N.Carolina) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hamamatsu Phoenix. They maintain first place with 29-4 record. Akita Happinets lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 24 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face Miyazaki Shining Suns (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akita Happinets will play against the league's leader Osaka Evessa.
