Very predictable result when sixth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (14-10) rolled over 12th ranked Qingdao Double Star (9-15) in Nanjing 117-98 on Sunday. Jiangsu Dragons made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Qingdao Double Star turnovers. The former international guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). International swingman Li Yi (203-85) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Qingdao Double Star. Five Jiangsu Dragons and four Qingdao Double Star players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to fourth place. Loser Qingdao Double Star dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Fujian SBS XunXin (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Double Star will play at home against Bayi Fubang in Ningbo.
