The game in Kristiansand was also quite interesting. Second ranked Tromso (15-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Kristiansand (4-14). Tromso did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tromso. Kristiansand managed to win second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Tromso outrebounded Kristiansand 48-36 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Gerald January (201-88, college: Montevallo) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Dag Christensen (201-80) who added 8 points and 20 rebounds during the contest. Four Tromso players scored in double figures. American guard Antonio Russell (183-84, college: W.Carolina) responded with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Kosovan power forward Rasim Beqiri (203-85) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Tromso maintains second position with 15-4 record behind leader Asker. Kristiansand lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Tromso will meet at home Baerum (#4) in the next round. Kristiansand will play against the league's leader Asker and hope to secure a win.
