Very expected game when 14th ranked Trenkwalder RE (6-15) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (10-11) 84-67. It looked good early as Trenkwalder RE took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tuscany Pistoia had a 26-8 second period charge getting the lead and Trenkwalder RE was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-84. Tuscany Pistoia forced 20 Trenkwalder RE turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Joseph Forte (193-81, college: N.Carolina, agency: JEMsports) who led his team to a victory with 32 points and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Jarvis Varnado (206-88, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Tuscany Pistoia's coach Paolo Moretti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Dawan Robinson (189-82, college: Rhode Island) added 17 points, 8 assists and 7 steals in the effort for Trenkwalder RE. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Aget Imola and Fileni BPA. Trenkwalder RE lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Tuscany Pistoia will play against Mazzeo San Severo (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
